Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to embark on a two-day visit to Uttarakhand on October 12, where he will inaugurate and lay the foundation stone for development projects amounting to ₹4,194 crore. The visit holds significant importance, not only for the state but also for the nation.

PM Modi's itinerary begins with a visit to Pithoragarh district, where he will stay at the Mayawati Ashram and have the opportunity to receive blessings at the holy site of Adi Kailash, situated near the China border. Adi Kailash is renowned for its stunning natural beauty and spiritual significance. The prime minister's visit aims to highlight the diverse and remote corners of India.

The site is home to around 224 small and large temples constructed using substantial stone blocks, copper sheets, and cedar wood, showcasing exquisite craftsmanship.

How to reach Jageshwar Dham

Travelers can reach Jageshwar Dham via the Kathgodam railway station, which is the closest railway connection. Bus services run from Delhi's Anand Vihar ISBT and Dehradun to Haldwani and Almora, while taxis are readily available for the 35 km journey from Almora to Jageshwar Dham. The Pantnagar Airport offers air service, and from there, Jageshwar Dham is accessible by taxi, covering a 150-km distance.
